Bibles for Hikers – a searchable geocache network – is designed to share the Gospel with hikers traversing the Appalachian Trail, with plans to expand to other major trails. Volunteer stewards locate and maintain each cache. Over the next year we aim to install a cache in every state along the Appalachian Trail. Hikers embark on both spiritual and physical journeys. By providing Bibles at strategic points, we invite the Holy Spirit to touch their hearts. Many hikers face personal struggles; a timely encounter with Scripture could be life‑saving, especially given the trail’s unfortunate record of dozens of suicides each year.
